On Tuesday evening, members wrapped up the annual summer vehicle rescue training. Every year in either May or June, we dedicate both training nights to refreshing our skills on vehicle rescue. Two cars were donated by Lewis Auto and Truck Repair Inc. for us to practice on. Last week crews concentrated on stabilization and also had a battery operated tool demonstration. This week we cut the second vehicle using hydraulic tools, electric tools, our windshield saws etc. Many different tactics and skills were passed on to the newer members, and the senior members had fun just prying and cutting.
Thanks to all the members who attended training this month. Rookie night will be next Tuesday.
