Tuesday night before the monthly Company Meeting, as the siren was blowing for a relocate to Cecil County Station 8, the new Engine 574 pulled into the parking lot. The engine looked even better than most of us imagined, and will be a great rural tactical engine.
The tools and equipment will begin to be mounted on Monday after a weekend of laying out mounting locations etc. This should take several weeks, and then we will begin training on it to get ready to put it into service.
The committee and everyone involved did a great job of putting together a rig that will serve our community well for many years to come. We will post more pictures and information as we progress through the process of putting it in service.
