Today is a mixed emotion kind of day.
We are happy that the Engine Committee is in Appleton, Wisconsin to perform the final inspection on the new Engine 574 (more on that later).
We are sad that after 8 years of active service, Jeff Johnson and wife Karen are leaving Quarryville, enroute to the Dallas Texas area to begin a new chapter in their life.
Since Jeff joined, he has been a great asset, coming to the Company with a lot of fire and rescue experience, he jumped right in (and fit right in) with the QFD. Karen also participated in the Special Division, and both could always be counted on to help in any way that they could. They have been great friends to have.
The QFD family is going to miss both Jeff and Karen. They have been through a lot in the last 8 years, and we are glad we got to spend time with them. We hope your move is enjoyable, and you get to love the hot weather and rattlesnakes😁 We hope that your path leads back to Quarryville someday!!!
