At 7:53 pm Sunday evening, QFD, Bart Township FC and Gap FC (RIT) along with LEMSA were dispatched to Dusk Street in Eden Township for a mobile home fire. Deputy 57 arrived with smoke showing from the home. Engine 574 arrived with the crew stretching a line to the interior and one to the rear exterior. The outside line crew found fire in the exterior wall extending toward the roofline. The fire was quickly knocked down, the wall opened and fire extinguished. Additional crews assisted with opening up, ventilation and RIT. There was no extension into the living area.
Units were in service just over an hour, clearing the scene at 9 pm.
While on scene, a quick fix was initiated on Rescue 42 after a leak in a coolant line. As usual, members from all the companies on scene worked together to get the rig back in service.
