At 3:58 am, Truck and Tanker 57 were alerted to assist the Robert Fulton Fire Company on a house fire (upgraded from an unknown type fire) in the 2300 block of Robert Fulton Highway (Rt. 222) in Fulton Township. First in 89 units began fire attack on the reported vacant structure. Truck 57 arrived and was ordered to the A-D corner and set up for master stream operations on the now through-the-roof fire.
Tanker 57 arrived and assisted in the water supply.
Engine 574 was dispatched as a cover unit, and on arrival, was tasked as the Rapid Intervention Company until relieved shortly thereafter.
57 Fire Police assisted in closing Rt. 222 (se previous story) during the incident. QFD units were released and back in service by 06:00, just in time for the crew members to get home, get a shower and leave for work.
