As we finally say goodbye to 2020, we hope that everyone will have a very happy New Year 2021. This year has been full of struggles and a lot of trials, but we all made it through and we are really looking forward to progressing into 2021. A lot of our normal activities like the ham shoot, Halloween Parade, Santa Night and other fund raisers were either changed or cancelled, but we made the best of it.
We want to sincerely thank our community for continuing to support us in all that we were able to do, even going above and beyond what is normal.
We also want to thank all of our members for helping each other get through this year. We had a few members that received injuries or fell ill, and everyone pitched in and helped one another. Our members also continued to serve faithfully, keeping the fire engines responding and serving our community.
Remember, we are a 100% volunteer fire company. Maybe you are an experienced firefighter or fire police officer who recently moved into our area. Maybe you were a QFD member and want to get back into it. Maybe you never had any fire service experience but think it is something that you can do. Please consider stopping by on a Tuesday evening, meeting the members, looking over the station and apparatus and consider volunteering and protecting your neighbors. The volunteer fire service is only as good as its volunteers.
