Four times since Thursday morning, QFD Volunteers have responded to vehicle accidents in a 1/2 mile stretch of Rt.472 (Kirkwood Pike) near the Octoraro Lake / Kreider’s Market. Thursday morning involved a car and a horse and buggy, Friday morning was a van into a pole, Sunday morning and evening were accidents during icy road conditions.
Pictured is the crash from Sunday morning. Luckily, no one was seriously injured in any of the accidents.
At the firehouse we always talk about the odds of incidents happening the way they do, or where they do. You might not run a call in a certain area for a year or more, then you run several in that area in a short period of time.
Thanks to all of the volunteers that gave of their time, even at the end of the Superbowl, to respond to the incidents during the weekend.
