At 7:20 am Thursday morning, QFD was alerted for multiple units to assist the Robert Fulton Fire Company on a sawmill fire in the 300 block of Little Britain Church Road in Fulton Twp. Before leaving the station, 89 units upgraded to a 2nd alarm as a large column of smoke could be seen for miles. Truck 57 set up and utilized the master stream to knock down a large portion of fire. Tanker 57 assisted in the nurse tanker water supply operation, while Squad 572 and multiple QFD Fire Police directed traffic in the area. Great work by first in units and crews kept the fire from spreading to the thousands of board feet of lumber that was in very close proximity to the building. Units were committed until 11:00 am.
