One of the final projects that we want to complete with our building is the reconstruction of our 2nd floor office and conference room. These rooms were built by the members in 1981, and since then have received very little modifications, until now. The fire company is basically a small business, and we needed more room to take care of the daily operations of the Company. Like in 1981, members are completing the work, thus saving us thousands of dollars.
So far, the walls and 2 ceilings (there are 3 ceilings) were removed, insulation removed, walls studded out, floor joists laid and a new door installed. We will be making a floor above the ceiling to store seldom used/needed paperwork and making the area more conducive to completing projects, meetings and paperwork.
