Today, Engine 574, AC Jamie Welk and FF’s David Eshleman and Andrew Lavin assisted with an Essentials Mod 4 Bun Day at the Lancaster County Fireman’s Association Pequea Lane training site. The burn day is a culmination of over 200 hours of training that encompasses “essentials” or basic firefighting skills. This includes all types of fire training (hose, ladders, ropes, forcible entry, ventialtion etc), CPR/AED, Hazardous Materials Operations etc.
This training is a huge commitment, starting in January and ending this coming Monday with the final test. We would like to congratulate QFD FF’s Isaac Fisher, Jake King and Norman King on completing this burn day and their entire essentials class. Also, congratulations to all of the FF’s in this class, and to the instructors who helped them through the classes.
