Just after 7 am, QFD was alerted to assist the Robert Fulton Fire Company on a house fire at 199 Peters Creek Road in Fulton Township. Units had a slow go due to the very icy road conditions.
Chief 89 (Smith) arrived with smoke showing and fire visible from side “C”. 89 units arrived and put 2 lines in service. Truck 57 took side “A” with the crew laddering the structure and assisting on the interior. Tanker 57 and Engine 574 crew assisted with lighting, ventilation and overhaul. Engine 572 was originally sent to the Peach Bottom Marina for a draft site, but due to the quick containment of the fire, was re-directed to Station 89 for stand by.
QFD operated for just over 1.5 hours. Thanks to Tom Amico for the photos, and for everyone who responded on this icy morning.
