Just before 6 pm, Engine 572 was requested for the TurboDraft Fire Eductor to assist Rawlinsville Fire Company on a woods fire in the 1100 block of Marticville Road in Martic Township. On arrival of the 58 and 53 (The Conestoga Volunteer Fire Company) units, they found the large trestle bridge of the Enola Low Grade Trail on fire. This has turned into a large scale event, with Engine 572, Truck 57, Tanker 57 and Squad 571 operating. (Thursday 4/12)
(Friday 4/13) QFD units operated until about 1 am before returning to station. Engine 572 drafted and filled 29 tankers with over 90,000 gallons of water. Truck 57 set up and flowed water from the rail trail onto the bridge. Tanker 57 hauled multiple loads of water. As of now (4 pm Friday), Forestry and several other fire company units are on scene with active fire continuing to burn.
