At 4:36 am, Truck 57 was dispatched to assist the Robert Fulton Fire Company on a silo fire on Widdowson Road in Little Britain Township. Units arrived, the truck set up and checked the silo which was reported to have some smoke in the chute. A small fire was found on one of the doors and was extinguished.
Just as the truck was taking up, the pre-alert went out for a barn fire at 1782 Cherry Hill Road in Fulton Township. The truck responded with the 89 units from the silo fire, and the remainder of the QFD units were sent from the station. Chief 89 arrived with a fully involved barn fire with exposures.
Truck 57 set up for master stream operations on arrival. Engine 574 arrived and stretched a 2′ line to the rear of the barn for fire attack. Tanker 57 assisted in the water supply/tanker operations. When Rescue 57 arrived, they were put in the LDH to relay pump to Engine 891. Multiple companies from 2 states assisted with this fire. QFD units were back in town by 10:30 am.
Thanks to Bart Township Fire Company for standing by, and to multiple camera operators (Tom Amico, Matt Vickers, Tyler Rose, Mike Tome, Andrew Lavin and Curt Woerth) for the photos.
