2018 was another great year of advancements and progress made by our Company. Some of the highlights are as follows:
490 total incidents
26 working fires where either an Engine, Truck or Rescue crew went to work
5 Accidents where rescue tools were used
Averaged 15 members per call
Averaged 9 minute 16 second response time from time of dispatch until arrival of first fire apparatus. (We cover 98 square miles, so this is pretty good considering we may have to respond 12 miles one-way to some of our area).
7,332 man-hours spent on incidents
2,216 man-hours spent in training
6,248 man-hours spent in maintenance, details and fund raisers. Volunteers spent a total of 15,796 man-hours helping our community.
We updated all of our gas meters with the help of Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community
Purchased a new Squad 571
Ordered a 2019 Pierce Engine to replace Engine 572.
Took in 11 new members, many of them active.
As you can see, it has been a busy year with many accomplishments. We look forward to 2019 being even better! Thanks to everyone’s help to make us have a great year.
